Class Name: Indigo Shibori Natural Dyeing Techniques with Genavieve

Class Kit: $50 Includes 2 tea towel & 2 half-yards of Organic Knit Fabric from Thunderbird HandCrafted, Gloves and Supplies to create shibori folds, Class Instruction, Dye Vat Brochure with video steps to repeat the process.

Class Description: In this workshop, you will be learning the basic steps in creating an indigo dye vat and the natural indigo dyeing process. You'll learn 2 basic indigo shibori folds using your tea towels, and then have 2 half-yard cuts of organic cotton fabrics to repeat or create your own design. This is your fabric to then use in future projects.

Other Supplies Needed (To be brought by the student): Smock, Apron, or old clothes.

 Beginner Level – No prior experience needed. Under 15+ must be accompanied by an adult.

*Indigo Dye will be available to purchase at the end of class to take home and repeat the process.
