Hi, I’m Genavieve, the heart behind Thunderbird HandCrafted. We’re a family-run creative business based on our Central Pennsylvania farm, where fabric, storytelling, and a good sense of humor all coexist. My background spans business, art, manufacturing, and ethical fashion, which shaped the foundation of this brand from day one.

That experience made it important to us to work with vendors we truly trust, partners who value transparency and craftsmanship, and where we understand the full journey from agriculture to fiber to finished textile. Ethical sourcing, USA-milled fabrics, and thoughtful production aren’t trends here, they’re core values.

Thunderbird HandCrafted is also a platform for collaboration. We’re passionate about uplifting artists and illustrators, creating space for their work to be shared through fabric, and connecting makers to stories they can sew into something meaningful.

You’ll often find my husband DJ working right alongside me, with help from his mom and our two young adult kids, who contribute wherever they can… or wherever they’ve been lovingly voluntold. And of course, there’s Apollo, our loyal shop dog and unofficial creative director, always nearby to supervise, nap in sunbeams, and remind us to take breaks.

It’s a true family effort, stitched together with care, creativity, and a shared love of handmade living.
